Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc. currently employs more than 200 professional employees and ?? survey crews to fully serve our clients. We are established in a variety of disciplines that service the development industry and have experienced, credentialed staff with expertise in civil engineering, planning, sustainability, LEED certification, water quality, surveying, and entitlement issues. Hunsaker and Associates Irvine, Inc. has offices in Irvine, Riverside and Palm Desert. It is presently lead by eight partners (Doug Staley, PE, President, Kamal Karam, Vice-Presidient, David Frattone, PE, Fred Graylee, PE, Bradley Hay, Paul Huddleston, Jr., PE, PLS, Kris Weber, AICP, LEED AP, CESSWI, CPSWQ, CPESC, and Joseph Wightman, each contributing his special expertise and an average of 30+ years of experience to the company

As President of Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc., Mr. Staley divides his time between managing projects and company operations. He has over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering industry and has provided professional project management services to a wide variety of land development projects including: master-planned communities, residential developments, golf and resort developments, commercial and industrial developments, retail and entertainment developments, park and recreational facilities, school sites, public works infrastructure, and specialized use facilities. Mr. Staley has been with Hunsaker & Associates since 1980.

Mr. Karam has been in the Civil Engineering/Land Development Industry in Southern California for over 25 years. As Vice President of Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc., Mr. Karam divides his time between managing projects and company operations. He is currently responsible for the ultimate design of several major subdivision projects within Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties. Mr. Karam supervises a staff of engineers, designers, draftsmen, and a team of governmental relations experts for the preparation and processing of all final engineering drawings including final maps.

Mr. Frattone has been involved in land development and related public works infrastructure civil engineering, for over 40 years. He is currently Principal-in-Charge of Public Works Infrastructure at Hunsaker & Associates. He is very familiar with development of significant master planned community and large Assessment District/CFD projects. He has been involved with the steering and management of many distinctive public and private sector projects in southern California. His many years of experience and expertise in Master Planned Community Development has been an asset to the resolution of issues relative to Public Facilites Development and the design of innovative and cost effective solutions that work on a community level.

Mr. Graylee has been in the civil engineering field for 30 years. He has been responsible for the management of many of our notable large-scale Master Planned Community projects. He has been with Hunsaker & Associates for over 25 years lending his expertise in subdivision planning and engineering, commercial, industrial, golf/resort, and recreation development. Mr. Graylee also specializes in infrastructure design of street, storm drain, sewer and water improvements.

Mr. Hay is currently Principal-in-Charge of Land Development Master Planning for Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc. He has been manager of the Riverside and Temecula offices since 1995 and has been with the company since 1987. He has an extensive background in the professional land planning and engineering environment, including due diligence, EIR support, Specific Plan preparation, project management, the design and engineering of residential, golf course and commercial projects, related governmental processing, and construction management. As our liaison to the Inland Empire, Mr. Hay has been responsible for the design and management of many of our large-scale, master planned communities and commercial projects throughout the Inland Empire.

Mr. Huddleston is Principal-in-Charge of Master Land Development Engineering, Public Works Infrastructure, and Survey for Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc. Mr. Huddleston has over 30 years of civil engineering experience and 17 years with Hunsaker & Associates. He has served as project manager for numerous projects throughout Southern California, with an expertise in the Inland Empire region. His career has focused on water and sewer system design, site engineering grading, infrastructure design and improvements, and site surveying. He currently is manager of survey and mapping for Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc.

Mr. Weber has been with Hunsaker & Associates for over 30 years and is currently Principal-in-Charge of Water Quality Engineering and Entitlements. He has over 32 years of experience within the development planning and construction industry. As supervisor of the Water Quality Department at Hunsaker & Associates, he has performed numerous construction site inspections, overseen the preparation of hundreds of water quality documents including SWPPPs and WQMPs, and provided various training seminars on water quality and NPDES Permit compliance to the development and construction industry of Southern California. He is a Certified Training Instructor (NCGP – QSP/QSD). Mr. Weber is also LEED AP certified and expert on sustainability issues and Low Impact development for Hunsaker & Associates.

Mr. Wightman is Principal-in-Charge of Land Development Master Planning. He joined Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc. in 1984 and has been the Lead Engineering Planner and manager of the design team within the Planning Department. As well as being principal designer, Mr. Wightman supervises the preparation, coordination and scheduling of preliminary design studies, ranging from 1,000-scale land use plans to 100- and 40-scale grading studies, various exhibits . Project locations consist of Orange, San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, Bakersfield and San Bernardino Counties.
